Dorothy Dode Champagne

Dorothy ‘Dode’ Champagne is a chef, entrepreneur, food critic, and guru to many successful restaurateurs, inspiring several young and seasoned chefs with her magical cooking skills. Her secret sauce is the love and care she folds into her recipes.

 

She has been mentored by some of the most renowned chefs from around the world, including executive Chef Nick Fusco.

 

Chef Dode started her culinary career in the year 1980. Her inspiration is driven by many well-known chefs, but the actual exposure to the culinary world and teachings was offered by CMAA to her.

 

Chef Dode’s ten years in Pennsylvania were spent with country clubs and beorging known in the business. As her husband was transferred from Pennsylvania to Texas, followed by Illinois, Massachusetts, and Georgia, her adventure continued, with starting her “Catering with Champagne” business. These changes of scenery and culinary classes added to her exposure to local cuisine, such as Texas barbecue, seafood boils, and fried green tomatoes.

 

Today, Chef Dode lives in Florida with her husband. She still amazes everyone around her with her continued enthusiasm for cooking. She has an answer to all your little worries, and that answer is, “Let’s Get Cooking!”
